40|86 Advisors is currently looking for a Senior Mortgage Producer, Commercial Real Estate to originate institutional quality real estate mortgages with a loan size of $5-30M. As a Senior Mortgage Producer you will be in charge of the production, underwriting and negotiation of commercial mortgages within a defined region of the country.
What you will be doing:
Contributing toward the region’s commercial mortgage production goal
Sourcing, evaluating, analyzing and underwriting commercial mortgage investment opportunities
Negotiating, performing due diligence, coordinating with legal and outside consultants, and closing mortgage transactions in accordance with investment objectives and guidelines
Developing and maintaining relationships with key regional and national customers, including mortgage bankers and borrowers
Conducting marketing efforts and sourcing new mortgage investment opportunities
Teaming with analysts, legal department and consultants to efficiently produce and manage mortgage transactions
Working with existing borrowers on refinances, workouts and restructures
What you need to have:
Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance or Business with 3+ years of commercial real estate lending experience. A demonstrated background in commercial real estate valuation, complex deal structuring and negotiating would be helpful to you in this role. Individuals with an MBA, experience working for a life insurance company or commercial bank are encouraged to apply.
You should be a self-starter with the ability to work within a team environment, possess strong attention to detail and have the ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively. Computer skills include MS Word and Excel.
