Our client, a leading Investment Bank, is looking for strong Oracle Developers to support the Equity Derivatives business.
Department Overview
The Global Software Development Centre (GSDC) is being created to establish a globally focused, high quality, software development capability in Singapore. The customers are based in London, New York and regionally in Asia. As well as delivering against commitments the development centre is also tasked with ensuring that best practices developed in Singapore are deployed worldwide within the existing development teams.
Main Function
Design and deliver high quality Oracle code under direction of an application engineer and project manager.
Main Duties
Delivers the functionality requested by the Application Engineer. The following is included:
Rapidly learn the Investment Banking domain and related applications
Low level design of solution
Coding and unit testing of the solution
Work with testers to verify the solution
Rework defects and take part in defect analysis
Requirements:
Qualifications/Education:
Essential
A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Management or related
Preferred
An appropriate combination of education and directly related experience may satisfy this requirement.
Experienced Required:
Essential
4+ years of working experience.
Experience in developing applications with Oracle
Unix (preferably SOLARIS)
Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Preferred
Clearcase (pref) or other enterprise source control tool
Java
Informatica ETL Toolset
OO Design
Oracle Performance Tuning skills
Previous experience working for investment bank.

Proven ability to work within a team environment
Clear and fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to make good/sound decisions and use independent judgment.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
