A leading asset/fund management house based in Canary Wharf is restructuring and is now looking to hire a Head of Marketing Communications.
Reporting to: Head of EMEA Marketing
Marketing Communications partners with investment and product management professionals to produce industry-leading publications and foundational materials to support the marketing agenda as well as give shape and order to client base communications under the brand.
Responsibilities
Ultimately responsible for Marketing Communications’ contribution, quality, productivity, reputation and team cohesion
Drive and oversee the creation of industry-leading publications and strategy-focused collateral that resonate with clients to successfully complement the sales process and position the company as a thought leader and top solutions provider
Ensure team capability and capacity is in place, adjusting to meet business needs. Monitor and address day-to-day issues while serving as an advocate for the team
Effectively communicate Marketing and Firm strategies, specifically outlining individual roles and responsibilities
Facilitate career and skills development while building a professional environment focused on leadership, customer service, and accountability. Ensure staff have the required training to perform their function and cross-train as necessarily to mitigate all concentration risks
Implement HR and departmental policies and procedures, including attendance, scheduling and performance management, clearly conveying opportunities for improvement and disciplinary procedures as appropriate. Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to
Significantly contribute to overall Marketing and Sales strategy, including focus planning
Drive the strategic direction of Investment Communications, proactively looking for opportunities to empower clients to make better investment decisions, and continuously improving the quality and effectiveness of the firm’s message
Ensure close collaboration with support and marketing colleagues in New York, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, and with other departments within Investment Management including client services, operations, legal and compliance
Provide full and complete business reporting
Required skills
Superior aptitude for networking and partnering across Firm region and divisional boundaries, leveraging internal and external relationships in order to drive the Marketing and Investment Communications agenda
Exceptional knowledge of all asset classes and the investment process with ability to distil information from various people and reference resources into publishable materials that drive forward the business
Excellent business savvy with ability to successfully implement change within a high pressure, time-sensitive environment, being open to the needs of the operation which may impact job requirements and/or working schedule
Ideally have significant experience in relevant field demonstrating excellence at managing reports
Seasoned strategic marketer who exhibits a passion for marketing
