Job Summary:

MATERNITY COVER

The Human Resources Division is responsible for ensuring that Schroders maximises its investment in people. It does this through the development and implementation of initiatives, policies and practices that attract, develop, and retain high quality employees in order to achieve business objectives in line with our values and stated vision.

Role Scope

This role operates with senior clients, reporting to the Senior Business Partner. The primary responsibility of the role will be partnering with specific business units within Investment as its primary business client but will also be expected to work across other client groups as required.

Working closely with HR Solutions and Consulting Services the Business Partner will understand and align their role to the commercial needs of the business, lead the business to deliver HR services that will achieve these needs and build their credibility in the way they involve and work with others.

Key Responsibilities:

- Building strong relationships with line management and viewing them as clients whilst at the same time, establishing themselves as a key member of the management team

- Ensures the delivery of a high quality service at all times and advises the clients on HR tools and techniques whilst using simple language

- Influences organisational and structural changes at business unit level

- Demonstrating strong commercial awareness, will identify critical business issues and anticipate the people management interventions required to address them

- Develop structured, pragmatic recommendations and strategies for implementation whilst supporting the HR goal of standardised processes

- Is aware and able to advise on the cost implications of recommendations and strategies

- Influences and shapes the change agenda, identifies obstacles and develops strategies to overcome them.
