Sales Manager role within Global Cash Management covering Deutsche Bank’s UK and Ireland corporate client base plus “inbound” UK and Ireland based multinational companies.

The Global Transaction Banking Division combines all Cash Management, Corporate Trust and Trade Services to support corporates and financial institutions. Cash Management houses our Global Payment processing units, including our USD, Euro, Multi-currency clearing groups and our ACH and cheque processing facilities.

Cash Management has increasingly become of great importance and has become the focus of attention of corporate and institutional treasurers over the last few years. The introduction of the single European currency and the increasing globalisation of markets have led to a stronger international orientation of our clients. As a result, the challenge for Deutsche Bank is to provide our multinational customers with Cash Management solutions tailored to their needs, especially electronic banking products, payment services, liquidity management and value added services. In order to meet this challenge, optimal combination of products and services with a dedicated team of sales, implementation, and customer service and product managers is a prerequisite. In addition, our intimate understanding of the Cash Management strategy of our clients plays a key role in the successful implementation of Cash Management solutions.

As one of the major banks on a global scale, Deutsche Bank offers state-of-the-art Cash and Liquidity Management solutions to our client base across the global Deutsche Bank network.

Duties will include:

- Global Cash Management Sales Coverage for Deutsche Bank’s UK and Ireland corporate client base plus “inbound” UK and Ireland based multinational companies.

- Responsible for complex sales against an assigned portfolio of targeted global client relationships.

- Identifying client wallet opportunities and developing regional/global sales strategy to win new client mandates and cross-sell existing client relationships.

- Working closely with the Relationship Management Groups globally to identify client opportunities, pitch, structure and close mandates.

- Structuring and delivering focused client presentations on key solutions and acting as deal leader. - Ownership of client RFP response

- Developing client relationships at all levels

Candidate Specification

Candidates will need to demonstrate:-

- A strong academic background and positive career progression to date, with proven experience of selling cash management services to corporates or non-bank financial institutions.

- A commercial mindset, to understand and anticipate developments in the market and the business opportunities created.

- A strong appreciation of customer behaviour and the ability to deliver products to satisfy their needs.

- Strong networking, teamwork and communication/influencing skills. The ability to communicate to clients in an articulate and professional manner is key.

- The ability to forge relationships with Relationship Managers and the other support functions with Global Cash management is also vital.

- Drive and enthusiasm with a “self starting attitude”.

- An awareness of the wider implications of business activity, including regulation, credit, legal & compliance, technology and operational issues.

- Confidence, flexibility and commercial acumen. A practical and realistic approach is an advantage.

- Willingness to travel
