The Role
The current vacancy is for a qualified accountant who will report directly to the Risks and Controls Specialist with specific responsibility for completion of Risk and Controls Self Assessment as part of the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, Anti–fraud program and other Operational and Enterprise Risk management areas.
Responsibilities will include:-
Responsible for the roll-out of the Risks and Control program, Anti- fraud and other areas of the Operational Risks function
Ensure the integrity of financial reporting by leading the documentation, testing, evaluation, reporting and remediation phases of Risk and Controls self assessment
Development and implementation of standard accounting procedures and controls across multiple territories
Responsible for the design of business process documentation, flowcharts, testing of controls and remediation of business process within deadlines set
Responsible for Business Process Engineering for functions
Responsible for formation and maintaining of effective working relationships with other members of the team
Ensure robust financial controls and sound commercial practices / decisions
Follow developments under Solvency II and assessing implications
Development and implementation of standard accounting procedures and controls across multiple territories
Ensure future product launches are compatible with accounting processes or appropriate alterations are made to finance or administration processes
Formation of effective working relationships with other members of the team (e.g. Accounting, Compliance, Administration, IT, Actuarial)
