The Support role is responsible for the successful and timely execution of all transactions in a fast paced, high volume, trading environment. To assist all Global Trading locations on trade execution as well as researching and resolving execution, reconciliation and settlement issues. To process or ensure processing has occurred for the delivery and receipt of inventory feeds to and from our counter parties. Other responsibilities include taking the lead on finding solutions to systemic and/or on going execution problems with internal RBC Dexia units and counter parties and recommend viable solutions to reporting manager.

Responsibilities
Trade ExecutionAssist Securities Lending Traders with trade execution.Complete custody and depository input where straight through processing is not available.Ensure settlement of all trades has occurred and if not research and correct failed trades in a timely manner.Monitor and manage conduit accounts in order to facilitate external borrows.Identify and communicate impact on revenue when trade execution problems are encountered and resolved.Complete marking of loans as agreed to with counter parties.Inventory & Portfolio MaintenanceIdentify trades impacting conduit borrows and ensure that inventory is adjusted to reflect the trading activity.Manage the conduit borrowing process including 3rd Party Lending.Identify trades impacting proxy voting and ensure that inventory is adjusted to allow eligible client to vote.Quality ServiceTake initiative to continually enhance transaction execution processes.Take initiative to identify where transaction execution efficiencies can be made.Assist in research required to resolve billing issues, dividend entitlements, CCA activities and other internal inquiries.Provide training for backup to the Trade Support Group.3rd party client serviceOperation SupportEnsure Gateway Maintenance is completed daily. Ensure daily mark to market on outstanding loans. Responsible for timely and accurate completion of back-dating transactions Ensure borrower fees are collected in a timely manner.Ensure all reconciliation items that relate to collections are resolved with all borrowers. Ensure dividend claims are cleared in a timely manner. Ensure proxy are monitored and processed in a timely manner (recall or borrow securities if required).Monitor FX activities for borrowers paying in Non-CAD currency.Client Service:Delivers service commitments to the clients' satisfaction by ensuring that all functions are completed accurately and on a timely basis.Participates in quality initiatives in an effort to constantly improve and enhance current service standards and productivity. Team Work / Client FocusSupport fellow staff members during peak processing periods and / or absences (i.e. re-allocation of files/daily work).Respond to internal or external client inquiries ensuring responses are executed in a professional manner and consistent with the timelines as set out in policies and procedures. Knowledge/ Skills RequirementsVery good knowledge of entitlement principles which include Proxy, Dividend and Corporate EventsVery strong PC skillsAnalytical and detail oriented

The Individual
? Proven Investor Services experience, ideally from a custody or funds background? Previous Securities Lending Experience ? Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills and/or Microsoft Access? Familiar with external Market Data systems (Reuters/Bridge, Bloomberg? Very good knowledge of entitlement principles which include Proxy, Dividend and Corporate Events? Very strong PC skills? Analytical and detail oriented
